US Open reigning champion Daniil Medvedev has sent a positive message to his fans after hernia surgery that he will begin easy workouts as soon as possible.
The 26-year-old had a wonderful season, reaching the Australian Open for the second consecutive year and semifinals at ATP Cup and Mexican Open and quarterfinal at the Miami Masters.
Most notably, he dwelt for a few days in the No.1 position on the ATP ranking table for the first time in his career.

I will likely be out for the next 1 – 2 months and will work hard to be back on the court soon. Thanks for all the support,” Medvedev wrote.
