Andy Murray is the player most young tennis players look forward to for inspiration. Apart from his on-court records, the way he appreciates his fellow players with his words pushes them undoubtedly to reach their career goals.
Although this time, the former World No.1 has been impressed with his junior compatriot Jack Draper’s performance in the 2022 season and has words of appreciation for him.
The 20-year-old Draper had capped off his 2022 season with incredible achievements such as a new career-high ranking of 41, four ATP Challenger titles, and a 41-6 win-loss record for ATP Tour & Challenger.
The Brit rising star also made his ATP semi-final debut at the Eastbourne International while he reached the third round at the US Open and the second round at Wimbledon for the first time.
Later, he fought his way into the NextGen ATP Finals semi-final in Milan. And Draper’s current form seems to take him to a new horizon by the end of the 2023 season.
“Jack is one of the best prospects on the tour,” Murray said. The three-time Grand Slam champion also added, “He’s had a brilliant year and I expect him to keep going higher next season.”
